- Product: Minirin Nasal Spray
- Chinese name: 迷你寧 鼻腔噴霧劑
- Content: 2.5ml per bottle, can eject 10mcg Desmopressin acetate at a time.
- Target: Central diabetes insipidus, nocturia caused by brain injury and renal function tests.
Usage and dosage
- It can only be sprayed in the nasal cavity and absorbed through the nasal cavity. No swallowing is allowed.
- The dosage is adjusted for adults, children and individual diseases. Please use the dosage according to the directions on the medicine ziplock bag or the prescription. For use in children, adult supervision is required to confirm the correct dosage.
- When opening the bottle for the first time, press it 4 times or until the liquid can be ejected. If the bottle is not used for several days to a week, please follow the above steps.
- Clean the nasal cavity before use. Remove the cap and hold the bottle with one or both hands.
- Insert the nasal spray into one of the nostrils and hold your breath while spraying. Keep your head back for 3 to 5 minutes for absorption. If more than two doses are needed, please use the two nostrils alternately.
- Avoid blowing your nose within 15 minutes.
- After each use, wipe the mouthpiece clean, put the cap back on and keep it upright. When the nasal spray is about to run out, please confirm whether the tube is immersed in the liquid. If not, tilt the bottle slightly so that it can be immersed in the liquid for use.
Drug storage
- After medication, keep it in the original container and fasten the bottle cap, and store it at room temperature below 25 ℃.
- Keep it out of the reach of children.
Possible adverse reactions
- It may cause headache, abdominal pain, nausea, increased body temperature, nasal obstruction, rhinitis, insomnia and emotional instability. If there are adverse reactions such as allergic reaction, hypertension, heart disease, and bleeding, the doctor should be informed as soon as possible.
- During the course of treatment, the restriction of liquid intake should be observed according to the doctor's instructions. If not properly controlled, hyponatremia may occur, causing headache, nausea, vomiting, general fatigue, abdominal pain, dizziness, confusion of consciousness, weight gain, and spasmodic symptoms in severe cases.
Special medication instructions
- If you forget to take the medication, do not add it if it is very close to the next dose.
- Medication safety classification for pregnant or lactating women: grade B, but it is still advised to inform your physician before taking medication.
- The ingredient may interact with certain drugs that cause the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, and may enhance the antidiuretic effect of Desmopressin, leading to water retention and hyponatremia.
