The system integrates basic patient information (age and gender), complete blood count (CBC) data, and cellular population data (CPD), using AI technology to provide fast and accurate risk assessments.

Traditional iron deficiency diagnosis relies on multiple clinical tests, such as ferritin and transferrin, which can take several hours to days to complete. These are not routinely ordered tests, and early-stage iron deficiency often presents with no obvious symptoms, leading to delays in medical consultation and diagnosis—sometimes lasting several months.

iIDeAS offers an innovative solution that requires no additional tests. The model only uses CBC and CPD data, eliminating the need for extra blood tests and placing no added burden on laboratory or clinical staff. This allows clinicians to optimize resource allocation, promptly refer high-risk patients for further evaluation and treatment, improve overall health outcomes, and reduce the complexity of disease management.

▲ iIDeAS utilizes intelligent technology to provide iron deficiency risk assessments within one hour. The model has been fully implemented across all clinics and hospitals of China Medical University Healthcare System. The real-world performance metrics are impressive, with an AUROC of 0.949, AUPRC of 0.843, and F1-score of 0.750, delivering reliable and trustworthy risk evaluations.
