The Rheumatology Laboratory achieves a major breakthrough by publishing in EMBO Molecular Medicine, where they discover, define, and name a novel cold-induced autoinflammatory disease called ZACAS.
Prof. Der-Yuan Chen was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientist consecutively in 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025.

The novel peptide serum-based diagnostic test for Rheumatoid Arthritis wins the National Innovation Award renewal and the Excelsior Award.
A new cross-departmental collaboration is launched with the Spine Center, providing integrated postoperative care and dedicated outcomes tracking for rheumatic patients undergoing spinal surgeries.

The Center presents its advanced research findings on using deep learning algorithms for automated joint ultrasound image interpretation at the 2023 European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) Annual Congress.
The Center receives the National Healthcare Quality Award (NHQA), officially designating it a "Center of Excellence" for clinical standards in Taiwan.

The diagnostic innovation team, led by Prof. Gregory J. Tsay, wins Taiwan's Future Tech Award for developing the precision IgG anti-BR1 ELISA diagnostic kit.
Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare approves the Center's Phase I/IIa investigator-initiated trial of allogeneic adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) for refractory or rapidly progressive connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD).
The Center earns another SNQ National Quality Certification (2022-2024) for its highly effective diagnostic and treatment services for Adult-Onset Still's Disease (AOSD).
