Currently, Dr. Kuan-Cheng Chang is serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Medicine and a Professor of Medicine at the esteemed China Medical University Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan. Throughout his illustrious career, he has successfully performed over 2,500 interventional procedures aimed at treating an array of conditions, from various arrhythmias to heart failure. These procedures have not only solidified his standing in the field but also contributed to improved patient outcomes. Moreover, Dr. Chang is a prolific contributor to the scientific community. Dr. Zhou Xiangtai is a medical doctor from Japan's National Kobe University. He used to be a physician of cardiology of Taipei Veterans General Hospital and a fellow of cardiology of the University of California, San Francisco. Awarded the American College of Cardiology. Chow's specialty is in medical treatment of cardiovascular disease, especially hypertension and heart failure, as well as various cardiac imaging diagnostics such as echocardiography and 640-cut computed tomography coronary angiography. Dr. Zhou's research focuses on Cardiac Ultrasound, Cardiology, Molecular Cardiology and Cardiomyopathies.

Dr. Shih-Sheng Chang is a senior intervention cardiologist specializing in complex coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndrome. He serves as the Director of Interventional Cardiology and actively contributes to Taiwan‘s cardiology field as a board member of the Taiwan Society of Cardiology and director at the Myocardial Infarction Society. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Chang furthered his expertise in AI applications in cardiology at NIH and Mayo Clinic, focusing on computer vision techniques to support diagnostic cardiology. Now leading the AI Center at China Medical University Hospital, he collaborates with physicians to develop patient-centered smart healthcare solutions. Recently, Dr. Chang was invited to present at the HIMSS Asia-Pacific Conference, sharing insights from his team’s innovations in smart healthcare.

Dr. Ping-Han Lo specializes in different types of transcatheter interventions including coronary artery stent implantation, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusion (CTO), carotid artery stenting (CAS), percutaneous balloon dilatation of rheumatic mitral stenosis, catheter-assisted surgery for aortic stenosis (transcatheter aortic valve placement included), catheter ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, transcatheter closure of atrial septal defect in congenital heart disease, LAAC for stroke prevention in AF, PTA in uremic patients on hemodialysis and peripheral vascular stent insertion (renal artery, subclavian artery, iliac artery, femoral artery and vertebral artery)

Dr. Pei-Ying Pai was a researcher in the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Dr. Pei-Ying Pai has been serving in China Medical University Hospital since 1989 and was the director of the division of cardiology and the director of the division of general internal medicine. In addition to rich experience, Dr. Pei-Ying Pai is kind and patient, and treat patients as family. Dr. Pei-Ying Pai specializes not only in the diagnoses and treatments of hypertension, heart failure and coronary artery disease (CAD), but also the implementation of heart ultrasound. He has completed more than 10,000 cases of ultrasound examination in recent years.

Dr Ke-Wei Chen was selected as a teaching physician in this hospital and specializes in cardiac catheterization for a variety of cardiovascular diseases, particularly coronary artery disease and acute myocardial infarction. From 2017 to Japan's famous cardiovascular center Kokura Memorial Hospital to study, including endovascular ultrasound (IVUS), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other cardiac catheterization and complex coronary intervention. Intravascular imaging such as IVUS or OCT with angiography can provide more accurate diagnosis of coronary artery disease, understand atherosclerotic plaque characteristics and guide stent selection and placement to reduce complications. In patients with chronic kidney disease, IVUS-guided PCI reduces the amount of developer needed to protect renal function. Dr. Chen is also good at general cardiac ultrasound, interventional esophageal ultrasound and pressure ultrasound to diagnose a variety of heart valve diseases and ischemic heart disease. He is currently involved in various cardiovascular interventions including peripheral vascular therapy, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, left atrial appendage plug placement, and pulmonary embolism catheter thrombolysis.

Dr. Chung-Ho Hsu specializes in various cardiovascular diseases, especially cardiac catheterization. Transcatheter cardiopulmonary interventional treatment include: 1) coronary balloon dilatation and stent placement, 2) carotid and peripheral vascular treatment, and 3) arrhythmia, radiofrequency electrical cautery and so on. The development of cardiac catheterization has led to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine and created many alternatives to surgery to reduce the suffering of patients with cardiovascular diseases and prolong the life of patients more effectively
