Achieves Highest Five-Ribbon Digital Maturity Rating and Earns New “Leader in AI Innovation” Distinction

China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) has once again been named among the World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2027 by Newsweek and Statista. First recognized in the 2024 edition, CMUH continues to receive international recognition for its commitment to digital transformation and smart healthcare.

This year, CMUH achieved the highest five-ribbon rating in the Statista Smart Hospitals Digital Maturity Survey (SSHDMS) and received the newly introduced “Leader in AI Innovation” distinction, highlighting its capabilities in digital maturity, AI innovation, and healthcare transformation.

The 2027 SSHDMS introduced stricter requirements for supporting documentation and evaluates hospitals across seven dimensions: Digital Information Systems, Digital Infrastructure, Training & Feedback, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Automation, Governance & Accreditation, and Evaluation & Auditing.

CMUH’s five-ribbon rating recognizes its comprehensive approach to integrating digital technologies into clinical care, hospital operations, and organizational governance.

Leader in AI Innovation: From Clinical Applications to Biomedical Discovery

CMUH was also recognized with the newly introduced “Leader in AI Innovation” distinction, meeting the 70th-percentile threshold in both the AI Standout Pillar and AI Maturity Pillar.
