At HIMSS APAC 2026, we shared how China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) is translating digital innovation into clinical care and strengthening international partnerships.

Following a perfect HIMSS Digital Health Indicator (DHI) score and global No. 1 ranking, alongside DIAM Stage 7 accreditation in 2025, we ranked second in Asia-Pacific for overall digital health performance in 2026.

In an interview with HIMSS TV, our Superintendent, Dr. Der-Yang Cho, discussed addressing unmet medical needs through smart healthcare and extending care into communities. Our Chief Secretary, Dr. Wayne Wei-Cheng Chen, presented CMUH’s journey from AIoT to Physical AI, highlighting how digital innovation is integrated into clinical workflows.

Our jointly developed generative AI care robot, EirBot, was named Champion of the AI in Action Challenge at HIMSS APAC 2026. Built around clinical needs, this achievement reflects close collaboration across medical, nursing, IT and engineering teams to support frontline care.

Beyond the conference, we advanced Taiwan–Singapore healthcare exchanges through a second visit to Ambassador Chen-yuan Tung and deepened our strategic partnership with the National University Health System (NUHS). We shared smart ICU practices with the ICU core team at Tengah General and Community Hospital and explored how technology supports care at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore Living Lab and smart wards.

These milestones reflect the dedication of our teams and continuous improvements in everyday clinical practice. Together with our international partners, we will continue turning innovation and shared knowledge into better care.
