Dr. Kuen-Bao Chen is currently president of the Chinese Bu-Xiong Medical Association, and councilor of Taiwan Society of Anesthesiologists and Taiwan Pain Society. Dr. Chen completed his anesthesia training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou District, in 1991.
He founded the Division of Pain Medicine of China Medical University Hospital in 1994 and served as the first director. He also visited University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey to have training of pain medicine in 1997.
Dr. Chen also went to Boston Children's Hospital, Massachusetts, USA to have training of pediatric cardiac anesthesia in 1998. In 2006, Dr. Chen obtained a master's degree from the Institute of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine of China Medical University.
