Emergency—Artificial Skin Use of Patients 急診—人工皮使用方法(英文)
The artificial skin is a hydrophilic dressing with a hypoallergenic, hydrophilic glue and a clear, transparent outer film. This film is moisture permeable and resistant to water and bacteria. The artificial skin interacts with the exudate of the wound to form a soft, translucent absorbent body that increases the ability to heal and heal the wound.
- Applicable to: acute wounds: slight rubbing, laceration, knife wound, once burned, broken skin.
- Not applicable: Skin damage that affects muscles, tendons, or bones.
Artificial skin replacement timing
- There is leakage of liquid.
- The dressing falls off.
- It has been used for 7 days.
Artificial skin replacement method
- The wound and skin surface are first cleaned with saline.
- The skin should be kept dry before applying artificial skin.
- Use an artificial skin of the appropriate size: choose a size greater than 2.5 cm above the edge of the wound.
- After peeling off the artificial leather liner, minimize contact between the fingers and the adhesive surface.
- The artificial skin is aimed at the center of the wound, so be careful to avoid unnecessary pulling.
- Can be used with venting tape or hypoallergenic tape to strengthen the edges.
Precautions
When replacing the artificial skin, the patient or caregiver should observe whether the wound is infected. Common symptoms include increased wound pain, swelling and redness, odor, and even fever.
Once the wound is infected, ask the patient to stop using the artificial skin immediately, and seek medical assistance.
