The 3 most reputable Taiwanese physicians in liver transplant were known as “Bo Huang from the North, Long Bin from the Central Area, Chao Long from the South” by domestic media. All 3 physicians studied under Dr. Starzl, the father of liver transplants. All 3 physicians have their own characteristics and have had significant development since then. With the retirement of Professor Bo Huang Lee of National Taiwan University, the Hospitals future looks bright under the leadership of President Long Bin Cheng. In addition to having remarkable performances in liver transplants, President Cheng is also an astounding Gastroenterology, thyroid gland tumor surgeon. His contributions to organ transplant within this hospital is fundamental and undeniable.

Doctor Yang also has a Doctor degree in food nutrients and will assess the patients condition before treatment, these include: Age, Nutritional condition; heart, lungs, liver, kidney organ functions, whether or not tumor is re-occuring, whether it has transferred to other parts of the body, whether surgery is suitable.
Doctor Horng-Ren Yang specializes in 1) Thyroid and parathyroid surgery, having accumulated over 1,500 cases, 2) cholecystectomy, 3) Stomach Cancer Eradication surgery, 4) Other Liver, bile, pancreas, spleen, stomach related surgeries. Doctor Chun-Chieh Yeh is one of the Hospital’s Attending Physicians of general surgery, who specializes in minimally invasive endoscope, Da Vinci System and traditional surgery. This includes: 1) Gull badder removal, biliary tract, pancrease tumor removal, treatment of painful chronic pancrease inflammation, liver tumor removal, spleen procedures, Thyroid tumor procedures, thyroind gland tumor surgery, hyperthyroidism procedures, paprathyroid tumor surgery, adrenal gland tumor removal, hernia and other organ related surgeries; 2) gastrointestinal surgery, Stomach Cancer surgery, pancreas transplant, Auto & Allo pancreas transplant. Doctor Yeh is also a member of the Hospital’s liver transplant team. He just recently finished his 2nd year surgical research fellow training at University of Chicago & University of Illinois and wishes to apply his learnt knowledge on pancreas transplant, adrenal transplant, Da Vinci System transplant into clinical treatment and service more patients.

Doctor Shih-Chi Wu specializes in the care for general surgery patients. His past experiences include Attending Physician of Department of Surgery, Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Director of Division of Critical Surgery, Changhua Christian Hospital. Doctor Wu engages in critical medical care for trauma and has accumulated years of experiences, clinic experience and academic research.
