For urine leakage caused by coughing and urge, There is a new treatment for “mixed incontinence”
2021/3/17Director Chou told Ms. Lin that she suffered from “mixed incontinence,” which combines two different incontinences. Director Chou performed the minimally invasive surgery of “Midurethral Intra-vaginal Sling” and “Urethral injections of botulinum toxin” on her. Ms. Lin was discharged from the hospital the next day after the surgery, while her previous urine leakage by coughing, urgency and urge incontinence all improved.
The 17th National Innovation Awards: Breakthrough microsurgery technology
2021/3/2Our reconstructive microsurgery team in the Surgical and Plastic Surgery Departments led by Professor Hung-Chi Chen developed breakthrough reconstructive microsurgery technology known as “Problem Solving for Amputation Crisis-Vascular Cable Flaps", which significantly reflects the reconstructive characteristics of tissue engineering. It’s a very challenging reconstructive microsurgery and it won the 17th National Innovation Award.

Under the stringent test of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the positive energy of ‘Taiwan is helping! CMUH is helping!’ has been brought to life. One of the passengers, the hospital directed 20,000 US dollars to Latisha’s medical expenses.
