  • For clinical records and progress monitoring, standardized photography will be taken after your consultation and before the procedure.

Post-treatment care

  • Within 1 to 3 days post-treatment, you may experience sensations of heat, mild redness, swelling, skin tightness, or a tingling sensation. These symptoms typically improve or subside within 24 hours with consistent cold compression.
  • When scabs form 2 to 3 days after treatment, It is advised that you use ointment or regenerative repair cream and wash your face or apply ointment gently.
  • The scab falls off in 3 to 10 days, during which do not scratch it to avoid leaving a scar, and you can use repair and maintenance products and protect yourself from the sun (by wearing sunscreen and a mask).
  • After the scab falls off, if the skin is exposed to the sun, it is likely to produce pigmentation, so please keep out of the sun. It is recommended that you wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more, and apply at least 2 mg/cm² to ensure full protection. (For the entire face, this is approximately the size of the two-finger rule). If sweating or outdoors, reapply every 2 to 3 hours. In addition to sunscreen, utilize physical barriers such as parasols (sun umbrellas) and wide-brimmed hats.

FAQ

Q1 How many treatments does it take? How long is the interval?

The Microlaser peel is more irritating to the skin and wounds need to be cared for. Therefore, it is recommended that a second treatment be given more than 1 month later. Usually, the effect can be felt after about 3 to 4 treatments. The number of treatments can be increased after discussion with your doctor and according to your satisfaction with the therapy.

Q2 Is Microlaser peel painful?

Requiring the administration of anesthesia, this treatment gives a superficial tingling sensation that is acceptable to most people and can be relieved by an ice compress after surgery.

Q3 Does the Microlaser peel creates a wound. Is the wound difficult to take care of?

Today's laser machine allows the doctor to adjust the treatment depth according to your situation. In the treatment of mild symptoms, scabs will form and fall off the next day, which is easier to take care of and can reduce the rate of darkening than conventional dermabrasion.

Q4 What are the side effects of the Microlaser peel?

The Microlaser peel creates an open wound. Sunscreen should be applied for new skin (pink skin after scab removal) to avoid pigmentation.

Q5 Do I need to use skin care product after a Microlaser peel?

It is advised to use moisturizing lotion and sunscreen products after laser surgery.
