What is HIFU?

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a new noninvasive treatment for uterine fibroids.

How HIFU Treats Uterine Fibroids

The principle is similar to focusing sunlight with a magnifying glass. Ultrasound waves are emitted from outside the body, passing through the skin, fat, and muscle. These waves are focused on the uterine fibroid, generating a high temperature of 65–85℃, which destroys the fibroid tissue, achieving a non-invasive treatment for the uterus.

Who Are Cadidates for HIFU?

Women with uterine fibroids measuring 2–10 cm.
Those who are afraid of surgery and prefer a non-surgical treatment option.
